Social media marketing is a new and interesting form of online advertising. Social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Squidoo and lots of other great sites have been harvesting millions of users. All these users unite and network with other people in their interest category. Facebook is one of my favorite sites to use for social media marketing. The reason for this is because you can find the specific target group you are looking for, and this way you are sure the right viewers see’s your marketing.

Facebook has a service where users can create groups for persons with a specific interest.
You can target down this group by doing a normal search through Facebook and join the relevant groups and pages you find.

Remember that it is against the Facebook ToS to spam the groups and pages, so make sure you do it relevant or you might get banned or get your account deleted.

Twitter has upgradet their services so that you can now make groups and place your followers in. This way you can place followers in the right categories. Make sure to follow their tweets and communicate with other people online before you start posting your links. Make sure you establish some contacts online that are interested in reading what you are writing about.

When you first get them hooked, they will come back for more.
